About Shona:

Hi! I’m Shona Curley. Here’s a little about me and my background.

I was a modern dancer in my 20s, and that’s how I found Pilates – way back in 1997. It was just a way to pay the rent until I got injured. Through my own healing process, I found some fantastic teachers and my life’s work. It’s now my joy to help you understand the root cause of your pain; to balance, heal, and strengthen.

In 2017 I was diagnosed with Lyme disease. I couldn’t exercise or do much of anything except lie in bed with an eye pillow. I began to use visualization to help my organ systems soften and find their way back to healing. It was surprisingly effective. The Cells’ Breath, an album of meditations for healing serious illness, grew from my own practice. I hope it keeps you company through your difficult nights, and brings you peace.

Healing pain or illness is a winding journey! An ongoing meditative practice, whether through movement or stillness, can help you take that process day by day and find the flow. I wish you the very best on your own path.
